Although the number of coronavirus infections in Poland has been falling for several days (April 1 – 35,251; April 2 – 30,546; April 3 – 28,073; April 4 – 22,947), the United Right government will probably extend the restrictions currently in force after the holidays.

When can the restrictions be expected to be eased?

Everything depends on post-holiday data on new infections and deaths.

As we read on the Onet.pl website:

No decision to significantly ease the restrictions should be expected after the holidays; after April 9, kindergartens and nurseries may be reopened first, and students in grades 1–3 may perhaps return to schools.

The first decisions on gradually reopening the economy after the lockdown will be made no earlier than mid- or late April, provided that the situation does not deteriorate and infections do not suddenly increase.

These are unofficial reports, however. Onet.pl cites its sources, but the government's decisions will become known after the Easter holidays.
