Marek Straszak – a graduate of I LO in Bolesławiec. He has been interested in art and animation for years. He attended graphic design classes at MDK. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław and at FH Krefeld (Germany). He is currently a student at the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts. He has presented his work at, among other events, the KAN 2008 festival in Wrocław, in Kazimierz nad Wisłą and at the Zamek Ujazdowski Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw. He mainly works with animation, interactive installations and visualisations.
On Monday, 28 December, in the auditorium of Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury (Grunwaldzka Street), an exceptional multimedia show entitled “See The Sound” (seeing sound) will take place. The show was created by Marek Straszak. We will trace the 100-year history of music visualisation: experimental films from the 1920s, the most important music videos and the latest projects in this field.
It begins at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free.
