That day, students of I Liceum Ogólnokształcące performed four songs, including three written by teacher Leszek Idzikowski and the well-known hit “Fever,” as well as the play “Victoria” and the sketch “Psiapsiółki” – all in English.

– “Victoria” is the story of a woman with a speech impediment who is mocked and ridiculed by everyone – explains Leszek Idzikowski, the author of the play. Victoria, played by Joanna Naglik, tries to cope with the problem: she attends group therapy and then visits a speech therapist. It all ends happily. In the final scene, we see the protagonist receiving a literary award. Victoria becomes a writer renowned throughout the world, with an excellent command of English.

– The event is gaining momentum. Every year, more and more people want to take part in this festival. And we are getting better and better at it – says the teacher. – It is a very good way to learn English. Of course, stage fright appears, but that stage fright provides enormous motivation to learn.
