As reported by money.pl, Netto has finalized the transaction to take over Tesco stores in Poland. The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection issued a positive decision in the matter.

– We eagerly awaited approval of the transaction and the start of this historically large-scale process of transforming the acquired stores into modern Netto 3.0 stores, as well as integrating our new colleagues from Tesco into their operation – Janusz Stroka, president of Netto Polska, told money.pl Janusz Stroka_.

The Danish chain will take over 301 stores throughout Poland, including the one in Bolesławiec, as well as two distribution centers. The fuel stations located by the stores will also operate under the new brand.

What about the staff?

As Stroka added, the company wants to complete the task it has set itself within the next 18 months. He also emphasized that, wherever possible, the staff of the new Netto stores will consist of former Tesco employees.
