Nine young and talented students of electronic music performed during a special concert by the MDK keyboard workshop in Bolesławiec. The great advantage of these instruments is their versatility, which makes it possible to perform almost any piece in one’s own musical arrangement.
During the concert, we heard a wide range of repertoire: from simple melodies such as “Wlazł kotek na płotek” to decidedly more complex standards, “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong and “Don't Worry Be Happy” by Bobby McFerrin.
Once again, the concert was hosted by the incredibly charismatic Kacper Champlewski, who traditionally entertained the audience with his sense of humour during breaks between the performances. In addition, the keyboard performance was enhanced by the “Akord” band, consisting of two workshop participants: Kamila Pietrzaka and Karola Korniaka, who play not only keyboard instruments but also guitars.
The concert was the second event of this year following the pandemic break. In addition to Kamila and Karol, the following performers appeared: Oliwia Ostrycharz, Wiktoria Ziółkowska, Miłosz Wojtowicz, Adrian Karolik, Kacper Kosut, Angelika Ziółkowska and Julian Szylkiewicz. All the performers attend the keyboard workshop led by Marek Łętowski at the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury in Bolesławiec.
