This coming weekend, Bolesławiec will host the Bolesławiec Kindness Star event. Let us show that we really know how to treat people with kindness.
A girl contacted the Via Sudetica Association asking for help. Her sister, Kasia Judzińska, needs money to purchase a hearing aid. Kasia, a student in her final year at III LO in ZSOiZ, cannot hear at all in her left ear and has poor hearing in her right ear. It all began in December last year, when the high-school student developed a middle-ear infection. Since then, her hearing has deteriorated significantly. Without a hearing aid, she will not be able to function normally.
Via Sudetica is organizing an unusual campaign. This coming Saturday and Sunday (12 and 13 December), members of the Association will sell special balloons at the Bolesławiec market square. Each balloon will come with an envelope containing Christmas wishes and information about the campaign.
The balloon can be released so that it flies somewhere out into the world. Attached to it will be a request—in Polish, English and German—that the lucky finder contact the Association and let it know where the parcel was found.
The owner of the balloons that travel the longest distance will receive a special prize, as will the person who finds one.
The campaign is sponsored by Opałkowa Chata and Piwnica Paryska restaurants. Come to the Bolesławiec market square this weekend and show your kindness! Anyone who would like to provide financial support for Kasia can also pay into the following account: 71 1690 0013 3031 0059 2681 0001, adding “for Kasia” in the reference.
