Controversy continues over how the post office operates throughout Bolesławiec County. Recently, we reported that there is a problem with mail in the Nowogrodziec municipality. (A spokesperson for Poczta Polska officially denied this). Then a Reader informed us that it is impossible to reach the main post office in Bolesławiec by phone. (Poczta Polska's press office, asked about this, has remained silent to date).

Last week, we also reported on the nightmarish queues that form almost every day at the post office on Asnyka Street in Bolesławiec.

Readers commented on the situation as follows:

The female mail carrier should be called a notice carrier. The height of cheekiness—ringing the intercom so someone will open the entrance for her, then putting a delivery notice in the mailbox instead of bringing the letter.

The opening hours online say from 8, while the notice on the door says from 11. How can there not be queues? Besides, whenever I have been there, one of the two employees serving customers has happened to be on a break.

These comments drive me crazy... Maybe it would be worth learning the real reasons for this situation first, and only then writing nonsense about employees who are doing everything they can, for wages lower than the national minimum wage, to somehow save the “sinking ship” that Poczta Polska currently is... Instead of writing offensive nonsense and labelling everyone working on the front line, I encourage you to write a collective petition to the director himself requesting change. I think everyone would then be satisfied, including the employees. Greetings to all the brave people at PP, and I invite the haters to work for one day—maybe they will manage to change something, or at least their minds...

Until 4 March, the facility on Asnyka Street is to be open from 11:00 to 17:30. Whether everything will return to normal afterward remains to be seen.

What do you think about this whole situation?
