During the November session of the Bolesławiec City Council, the mayor spoke about how, several months ago, the rural Bolesławiec commune near Wieluń was granted city rights. There are now two cities named Bolesławiec in Poland.

The result? Here is an example: congratulations from the Lower Silesian Voivode, which were supposed to reach our municipal office, were first delivered to the other Bolesławiec.

– I met a woman who lives in that other Bolesławiec – P. Roman recalled. She told him that a great deal of correspondence intended for the City of Ceramics first arrives in Bolesławiec in Łódź Voivodeship.

The mayor noted that he had checked how things stood here. And it turned out that… it is the same. Correspondence that is, in fact, not intended for us is also mistakenly delivered to Lower Silesia.

– You have to be careful about this. It causes some confusion – the mayor stated. – And if you use the services of Poczta Polska, I advise you to enter the postal code carefully.
