Kamil Barczyk, director of the county hospital in Bolesławiec:
On Friday, February 12, 2021, at 12:15 p.m., a vaccination campaign began for the first group of one hundred teachers and practical vocational training instructors. The vaccination coordinator on behalf of ZOZ in Bolesławiec set the dates and times of the appointments. Most people arrived punctually, following the recommendations. However, a considerable group arrived much earlier, while seniors were still being vaccinated. Despite this, the entire campaign was carried out very efficiently. Within 90 minutes, all the educators had been vaccinated. The queue of people waiting was cleared.
And adds:
Through your editorial office, we kindly ask people who will be coming for vaccinations to arrive at the appointed time. Arriving an hour, or even half an hour, early will not speed up entry to the vaccination point; it will only result in a queue forming. The staff are obliged to administer the vaccine to everyone who reports to the point on the agreed date and at the agreed time. There is no reason to fear that anyone will be turned away.
It is worth noting that ZOZ in Bolesławiec obtains an exceptionally large number of vaccines. On average, nearly 300 people are vaccinated every day.
And emphasizes:
The Healthcare Centre in Bolesławiec declares that it will make every effort to meet Patients’ requirements and continue the vaccination campaign at the highest possible level, while observing all safety rules. However, without cooperation and understanding on your part, bottlenecks in the queues may form.
Let us recall. On February 12, we reported that a teacher vaccination campaign had begun at the hospital in Bolesławiec. As our Reader wrote in an email to the editorial office:
This is what the queue of teachers waiting for vaccinations looks like. No organization. No distancing.
And added:
A patient’s bed passes by every now and then...
What do you think about the entire situation surrounding the vaccination campaign in our country (not necessarily in the context of vaccinating teachers)? We invite you to join the discussion.
