Readers contacted us with questions about the possibility of undergoing magnetic resonance imaging at the hospital in Bolesławiec.
Here is the response from Kamil Barczyk – Director of the County Hospital in Bolesławiec.
In response to your question regarding the possibility of using diagnostic tests involving magnetic resonance imaging, I would like to inform you that the Health Care Complex in Bolesławiec is awaiting the announcement by the National Health Fund (NFZ) of a competition for the provision of the above-mentioned services in our area of operation.
Currently, it is possible to undergo examinations using both computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging for a fee; the prices have been set at the lowest possible, preferential level.
Patients of hospital wards undergo examinations without any restrictions, in accordance with their doctors’ recommendations.
It should be emphasized that the Diagnostic Imaging Department at the Health Care Complex in Bolesławiec is equipped with some of the most modern medical equipment on the market: an MRI scanner, two CT scanners, ultrasound, X-ray and mammography equipment. As soon as we obtain an NFZ contract, we will immediately inform everyone about the possibility of using reimbursed diagnostic imaging services.
