The incident took place on Saturday, 13 February. Volunteer firefighters from Nowogrodziec:
[... ] at 10:26 we received information about a house fire in the village of Zebrzydowa. We went to the scene with two fire crews.
The firefighters continued:
A fire broke out in an electrical box inside the building. The residents managed to evacuate before the fire brigade arrived; one person was injured because they were in heavy smoke while extinguishing the fire. [jej]Qualified first aid was provided, including administering oxygen.
They added:
Our duties also included ventilating the building using a fan and initially disconnecting the building’s electricity supply. The emergency medical team that arrived at the scene attended to the injured person and the other residents.
Firefighters from Nowogrodziec, Czerna, Zebrzydowa and Bolesławiec took part in the operation, which lasted an hour and a half, along with an emergency medical services team, the police and the emergency power service.
