The incident occurred on Saturday, February 13. Volunteer firefighters from Nowogrodziec:

[…] at 12:13 a.m., another dispatch, this time to a chimney soot fire in the town of Zebrzydowa. Our firefighting unit was dispatched to the scene, and a hydraulic ladder was redirected from the fire in Bolesławiec.

The firefighters added:

At the scene, a fire in the chimney flue was confirmed. The operation involved checking the building for hazardous gases, applying extinguishing powder to suppress the fire, and removing the burning soot using chimney-sweeping equipment.

Fortunately, no one was injured. Firefighters from Bolesławiec, Nowogrodziec, Czerna and Zebrzydowa took part in the operation, which lasted approximately one and a half hours.
