A modular hospital for COVID-19 patients has opened at Wojewódzki Szpital Specjalistyczny in Legnica. The facility in Legnica has followed in the footsteps of the county hospital in Bolesławiec. (The building was, in fact, constructed by the same company.)
“This is an extremely important investment for our hospital at this time,” Tomasz Kozieł, press spokesperson for Legnica’s WSS, said in December last year. “The infectious diseases department assisting COVID patients will be moved there.”
More about the investment
- 1,800 sq m of usable floor space,
- 40 modules (each module weighs approximately 30 tonnes),
- 60 years — the modules’ durability (warranty),
- 100 beds.
