Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters:
We inform you that traffic on the A4 motorway has resumed. Traffic police at the Krzyżowa interchange are clearing the route, and drivers who want to take the A4 motorway towards Zgorzelec can now do so.
Let us recall. The police reported in the morning hours:
Urgent: A4 blocked at the Krzyżowa interchange towards the border.
The reason for the whole situation is a pile-up that occurred in our western neighbours' country.
There were detours
Traffic was diverted onto the A18 and DK94. Superintendent Kamil Rynkiewicz of the Lower Silesian Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław:
Due to traffic disruptions on the side of our western neighbours, the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways decided to change the traffic organisation at the Krzyżowa interchange. Vehicles travelling on the A4 motorway towards Germany are being directed by police officers at this location onto the A18 motorway.
