The kindergarten building is planned to contain six groups with full sanitary facilities, a meal distribution area, a small gymnasium, a cloakroom, a sensory room, and administrative and technical facilities. City Hall officials say: “The building was designed to be energy-efficient and adapted for people with disabilities.”

The facility will include, among other things:

  • low-temperature underfloor heating,
  • heat pumps,
  • mechanical ventilation with heat recovery,
  • a photovoltaic installation,
  • triple-glazed windows,
  • a rainwater tank.

The project includes 46 parking spaces and four parking spaces for people with disabilities. The works also include the construction of pavements, a playground, a service yard and fencing around the site.

The contractor is a consortium consisting of Zakład Remontowo-Budowlany „Dragon” from Łeba (leader) and Konstruktor Group from Wrocław. The investment costs PLN 6,765,000. The funds come from the budget of the City of Bolesławiec.

The construction of the kindergarten is scheduled to be completed in mid-May this year. The new facility will be able to accommodate as many as 150 children.
