The parking ticket machines at Piłsudskiego Square in Bolesławiec often do not respond to coins inserted into them. Some coins pass straight through the machine and have to be exchanged for others (of the same denomination) before they are finally accepted and it becomes possible to print a ticket.

A reader informed us about the problem with the parking machines. They also sent us a video showing coins passing through the machine while it does not respond.

We reported the malfunctioning machines to the City Hall. Agnieszka Gergont, spokesperson for Bolesławiec City Hall, Agnieszka Gergont informs us that the problem with accepting coins has already been reported to the service department.

It turns out that there are batches of new coins with which the machine’s sensor has problems. Therefore, they are not accepted. The problem with recognizing coins is to be resolved by a software update in the machines, which is expected to take place soon. The City Hall apologizes for the temporary inconvenience.
