On Monday, January 25, Bolesławiec Bomb Disposal Patrol of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment carried out two operations to neutralize explosive and dangerous objects dating from World War II. The sappers:

1. Szczytnica, Bolesławiec County – an SD-1 aircraft bomb of German manufacture (found during earthworks to level a lawn in front of a multi-family residential building).

2. Pieńsk, Zgorzelec County – an 82 mm O-832D mortar shell of Soviet manufacture (found during earthworks in an excavation for the foundations of a single-family house).

Fortunately, no one was injured.
