The deadline for submitting applications for an award for promoting Bolesławiec in 2009 is 15 December. Applications should be submitted to the City Hall secretariat (town hall), the Customer Service Office (Piłsudskiego Square – office building), or the Department of City Development and Promotion (town hall).
Individual awards may be given to residents of Bolesławiec, artists, cultural life animators, scientists, popularisers of scientific achievements, educators training scientific staff, students, athletes, and sports coaches and activists.
Team awards are given to groups of residents, creative and artistic teams, institutions, associations, cultural life animators, teams of scientists, clubs, sports unions and associations, students, coaches, organisational units of the Municipality of Bolesławiec, as well as initiative groups, companies, entrepreneurs, and enterprises.
Honorary awards will also be granted for supporting activities and initiatives in the fields of social life, healthcare, entrepreneurship, artistic creativity, the dissemination and protection of culture, the development of science, and sport.
Applications for awards may be submitted by: the mayor; the City Council and its committees; cultural institutions, associations, and creative unions; artistic agencies and socio-cultural associations; editorial offices of local newspapers, radio stations, and television stations; publishing houses; educational institutions; scientific and research associations and organisations; sports clubs, associations, and organisations; social and local-government organisations; and local-government bodies and units.
