On January 20, at the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra, the court remanded Walter R., known as Brzytwa, in custody on suspicion of committing a murder that took place on December 11 last year in Kamienna Góra. Investigators:

At that time, the body of a man was discovered in one of the apartments in Kamienna Góra. The circumstances indicated that the victim had been murdered.

They added:

The intensive procedural activities that followed led to the determination that Walter R. was the perpetrator of the murder. The man was detained on January 18, 2021, and brought to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra, where he was charged with murder.

The now 80-year-old man, who completed a 25-year prison sentence for two murders in 2015, did not plead guilty.

Moreover, R. was charged with possessing a firearm and ammunition without a permit, as well as possessing psychotropic substances and narcotic drugs.

“Brzytwa” could now face life imprisonment.
