The new year began badly for the Lower Silesian structures of Law and Justice. In the second week of January, the so-called “PiS Tapes” appeared in the media, in which local activists from Wałbrzych spoke vulgarly and without restraint about local party infighting.

Among other things, the activists say that people active in PiS are just like those from Civic Platform or the Democratic Left Alliance and are just as greedy. According to the recording, the party structures differ only in their leaders. After the tapes were revealed, Jarosław Kaczyński dissolved the PiS structures in Wałbrzych.

On Tuesday (January 20), the media reported the arrest by police of Jacek Baczyński, head of the PiS caucus in the Lower Silesian regional assembly. As tvn24.pl reports, the Legnica resident was arrested in connection with a report of domestic violence.

In this case, Jarosław Kaczyński acted as quickly as he had in the case of the Wałbrzych structures. Jacek Baczyński was immediately suspended from his rights as a PiS member.

Legnica police press officer, Sub-Commissioner Jagoda Ekiert, said on Wednesday that police intervened in response to a report of domestic violence on Tuesday before 8 p.m.

– The 36-year-old allegedly physically and psychologically abused his relatives.
