The matter was reported on its fan page by Patrol Saperski Bolesławiec of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment:

By decision of our superiors, our Bomb Disposal Patrol has been equipped with a new passenger off-road vehicle:
FORD RANGER.

The bomb-disposal specialists added:

We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this.

The modern vehicle will certainly be useful to the Patrol, improving our operations related to clearing the area of unexploded ordnance and misfires.

The Ford Ranger in the XLT configuration is powered by a 2.0 EcoBlue diesel engine producing 125 kW/170 hp, working with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 4x4 drive is transmitted through an electronically controlled two-range transfer case, allowing the 2x4/4x4 drive to be switched while driving. Driving the vehicle in difficult conditions is supported by a traction-control system and an electronically controlled differential lock on the rear axle.

The military Rangers received 16-inch steel wheels with Hutchinson run-flat inserts and BFGoodrich AT tires. The vehicles will also be equipped with a special hardtop cargo-bed body with three opening covers, mounts for transport, for example by rail, and a tow hitch. The Rangers will be used by both operational and support troops.
