On Monday, January 4, a vaccination campaign began at the Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej w Bolesławcu. The first person to be vaccinated was Ms Irena, a nurse. “It didn’t hurt,” she assured. “I encourage everyone to get vaccinated.”

Unfortunately, 180 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine arrived at the Bolesławiec facility a week late. (Six people will be vaccinated from one vial.) There is no shortage of volunteers— as many as 1,500 people. They include employees of the Bolesławiec hospital (first in line), as well as employees of nursing homes, the sanitary inspection service and people who work with ZOZ on a regular basis.

“I hope that vaccines will reach us regularly,” says Kamil Barczyk, head of the county hospital. “The sooner we vaccinate and the better it is organized, the sooner we will defeat the pandemic.”
