The District Court in Lwówek Śląski has ordered the temporary arrest for three months of a man suspected of stealing a BMW 6GT worth PLN 250,000 from a store parking lot in Gryfów Śląski.
Let us recall. The incident occurred on December 30. “The victim left the vehicle in front of the store, while his 15-year-old son remained inside. After getting in, the perpetrator firmly ordered the boy to get out and drove away in the aforementioned car,” reports asp. szt. Monika Kaleta of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
She adds:
The police were notified immediately, and a patrol began pursuing the stolen BMW. Officers from other counties joined the operation [m.in. z bolesławieckiego – przyp. istotne.pl], roadblocks were set up, and a specially appointed team worked at the scene of the theft, securing, among other things, traces left by the thief, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing surveillance footage from the escape route.
The operation ended successfully. The thief was arrested and the car recovered. The 25-year-old man could face a prison sentence of between one and as many as ten years.
