ZWKiO:
As part of the completed work, two water tanks cooperating with the Gromadka water treatment plant and connected to the water supply network were cleaned and disinfected. Each had a capacity of V = 100 m3 (2 x 50 m3). The external and internal infrastructure of the facilities was renovated. In addition, the modernization included installing a monitoring system for the booster station in Pasternik and connecting it to the monitoring system located at ZWKiO in Gromadka.
What will this achieve?
The plant: “Launching the booster station will eliminate water shortages in Nowa Kuźnia during periods of increased demand and reduce the frequency of failures on this section of the water supply network by maintaining the proper pressure in the network.”
Moreover, thanks to the monitoring system, ZWKiO employees will have faster access to up-to-date information about the booster station’s operation. This will make it possible both to anticipate and prevent some failures and to respond to them more quickly, as well as to maintain full control over the facility’s operation.
