The incident occurred after 1:20 p.m. at the intersection of Cieszkowskiego and Modłowa streets (the city bypass). Three passenger cars—a Volkswagen, BMW and Fiat—collided. Six people, including a 2-year-old child, were traveling in them. Two people reported ailments and are already receiving medical care. Operating fluids leaked.

According to police findings, the driver of the BMW, a 28-year-old from Bolesławiec, failed to yield the right of way to the driver of the Volkswagen, a 52-year-old resident of the city of ceramics.

The Volkswagen hit the side of the BMW and then collided with a Fiat that was stopped before the intersection. The Fiat was driven by a 39-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec commune. As a result of the collision, the 52-year-old Volkswagen driver was taken to hospital.
