Officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec identified and arrested a 23-year-old man suspected of damaging property. KPP:
Late in the evening, in the city center, the perpetrator first drank alcohol with a friend near the municipal Christmas decoration and then damaged it by pulling, tearing and jumping on the 3-meter structure. The losses were estimated at PLN 600.
The resident of Nowogrodziec municipality admitted his guilt. Together with his friend, he will also be held responsible for drinking alcohol in a public place, littering and failing to comply with the order to cover his mouth and nose.
The 23-year-old could now face a sentence of between three months and five years in prison.
