The Bolesławiec municipality website features a report on an unusual visit from the bearded saint from Lapland:

When they arrived at the preschool, the children noticed footprints on the stairs and in the corridor leading to the preschool room. It turned out that St Nicholas had left presents for the preschoolers. There was immense joy. St Nicholas had visited us at night, left packages, and also a letter and a mysterious recording.

After breakfast, the preschoolers sat in front of the screen and a meeting with our St Nicholas began. This year, he was very well prepared. He knew everything about every preschooler. Despite the pandemic, he had not forgotten the children. Every preschooler received a present. In return for the packages, the children sang a song and recited a poem.

There were also surprises. The teachers from Ocice:

The biggest surprise was that St Nicholas lost a shoe at the preschool. We received a call from an elf asking the children to look for the shoe and send it back to Lapland.

The preschoolers will remember this day for a very long time. It was certainly an extraordinary St Nicholas Day, full of joy and children's smiles.

And they add:

The best present for us adults is that the children have not lost their faith in St Nicholas and in his existence.

See you next year.
