The event will take place on Sunday, 6 December. It is being organised by the Fit Style Zone gym. Some participants will climb to the summit of Śnieżka without shirts. Before the start, it will be possible to buy Santa hats. The proceeds from the sales will go towards the treatment of 10-year-old Karol, who was burned in a fire at his family home.

Organisational information:

  1. Meeting on 6 December 2020 at 7:00 a.m. in the car park on Śluzowa Street, by the Carrefour store
  2. Participants must arrange their own transport, as group transport cannot be organised under the current circumstances
  3. Meeting at the car park by Wang Temple, while maintaining appropriate social distancing
  4. The hike to Śnieżka will start at approximately 8:30 a.m.
  5. Santa hats will be sold on site. The price is up to the buyer; however, given the purpose of the sale, the minimum price is set at PLN 10
  6. Mandatory dress code:
    • Winter swimmers: a Santa hat, warm underwear and suitable shoes
    • Non-winter swimmers: suitable shoes and clothing, as well as a Santa hat

If anyone would already like to support Karol, here is a link to the description of his illness and the fundraiser: https://zrzutka.pl/3xnkfv

It is worth adding that exposing one’s body to the cold in this way is an interesting alternative to the increasingly popular practice of winter swimming.
