The school obtained funding for their purchase through the “WzMOCnij swoje otoczenie” grant program organized by Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne.

The air conditioners have special filters that reduce the effects of smog and will improve air quality, particularly during the heating season. The air-conditioning function will be useful on hot days. The new devices will significantly improve learning comfort and have a positive impact on children’s health.

The “WzMOCnij swoje otoczenie” program is an initiative of Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne, the national transmission system operator. Its aim was to select the best projects related to the development of local infrastructure, increase residents’ safety during the coronavirus pandemic, and help municipalities where transmission infrastructure is located or being built adapt their operating methods and work tools to the applicable sanitary restrictions. In the municipality of Nowogrodziec, PSE is implementing investment projects involving the construction of two 400 kV lines: the Mikułowa–Czarna and Mikułowa–Świebodzice lines. They are essential for ensuring the security of electricity supplies to consumers in south-western Poland.
