The incident occurred on Tuesday, 15 September, in Gościszów. A BMW car went off the road on a bend and ended up in a ditch.
According to police information, the BMW was being driven by a 22-year-old woman from Lwówek County. She failed to adjust her speed to the road conditions, as a result of which she lost control of the vehicle and went off the road.
Police officers seized the vehicle’s registration certificate. The driver was fined PLN 300.
Police remind drivers to adjust their speed
The incident in Gościszów is another reminder that speed should be adjusted not only to the applicable limits but also to the situation on the road.
Particular caution is required, among other places, on bends and sections where driving conditions may change. Maintaining an appropriate speed allows the driver to retain greater control of the vehicle and leaves more time to react in an emergency.
