On Tuesday, December 1, Marta Lempart will attend a protest in Lwówek Śląski. The protest will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the Lwówek market square (pl. Wolności). Men’s Support for the Women’s Strike is organizing support for women from Krzysztof Niciejewski of Wrocław, chairman of KOD Wrocław and KOD Lower Silesia.

Men’s Support for the Women’s Strike is an informal group, and any man can join it. It provides logistical support for the protests.

“When did support for women begin? With the first strike,” says Krzysztof Niciejewski. “It was about securing the strike, in which the girls were marching, and this fell to us men who were in the area. So that the girls would not have to deal with it. We took over the technical role, and that is how it started. During the second strike, an informal group was formed and a fan page was created. It has now grown, and any man who wants to help can join and use the name Men’s Support for the Women’s Strike. Marta Lempart keeps saying that this is not a strike only for women. It is everyone’s strike. We men do not step to the forefront. It is a women’s strike. They are the leaders there; they are the most important. We men are there to remain in the background, provide security and help. If the girls ask us for help, we help. This is support, not being a leader,” Krzysztof adds.

The leader of the All-Poland Women’s Strike identified the reason why Law and Justice is under threat: the protests in small towns, in places where the government did not expect any resistance. In an interview with istotne.pl, Marta Lempart said: “What paralyzed PiS, what filled them with fear, what took away all their power, at least for a moment, was that people took to the streets. First, in small towns, and second, in places where they did not expect anyone to come out at all.”
