Agata Diduszko-Zyglewska is a journalist, writer, culture animator, social activist and politician. She has served as a Warsaw councillor since 2018. Since 2012, she has been a member of the Krytyka Polityczna team and a member of the Congress of Women Council. She collaborates with Vogue.pl and is the author and host of the feminist satirical programme “Przy Kawie o Sprawie” – she was nominated for creating the programme for the 2019 Equality Glasses award. She is the author of the book “Krucjata polska” (Krytyka Polityczna, 2019). She was nominated for the title of Warsaw Woman of the Year 2018. Co-creator of the map of Church paedophilia in Poland and co-author of the “Report on violations of secular or canon law in the actions of Polish bishops in the context of priests who perpetrated sexual violence against children and dependent people”. In 2018, she was included on the list of the 50 Bold Women of 2018 by “Wysokie Obcasy”. She is a member of the Polish Gender Studies Society and writes about women’s rights, state–Church relations, culture, education and other social issues.
The map of Church paedophilia and sexual violence was published on 7 October 2018 and, as the first attempt to illustrate the scale of Church paedophilia in Poland (in the context of disclosed cases), received extensive coverage in the domestic and foreign media.
The creators of the map are Agata Diduszko-Zyglewska and Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus – volunteers and staff of the Nie Lękajcie Się Foundation, as well as people of goodwill unaffiliated with the Foundation, helped gather the initial materials for the map and with IT work.
