A reader asked us to look into the matter. She wrote:
Tree pruning in Bolesławiec at the cemetery. It looks like the pruning goes “right down to the roots” ;( The trees cannot be brought back, but when another portal showed a few days ago that trees had been pruned by two-thirds, apparently no one added that this two-thirds pruning would end with felling...
We asked MZGK head Kazimierz Łomotowski to explain the tree-felling issue. The director assured us that the felling had been planned in advance and that only diseased and old trees posing a threat were being removed. Healthy trees are not being felled.
