Cezary Przybylski, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship:
The Constitutional Tribunal’s ruling on abortion sparked a wave of public outrage. Thousands of citizens across the country took to the streets to express their dissatisfaction. The Constitutional Tribunal’s decision violates the provisions of the so-called 1993 abortion compromise, depriving women of the right to choose and decide about their future. It also undermines the sense of security guaranteed by the Constitution. The law should serve citizens. A law that violates human dignity is a bad law and must be changed.
