Andrzej Pytliński worked for the Institute of Glass and Ceramics in Warsaw, the SURMIN-KAOLIN Mineral Resources Mines, and the Bolesławiec Refractory Materials Works. He was an honorary member of the Bolesławiec Ceramic Brotherhood and the Association of Polish Art Photographers. He wrote books about photography. He mentored a large group of photographers in Bolesławiec.
