Bolesławiec police officers identified the perpetrator of the bicycle theft as a result of operational findings. KPP:
The incident took place in the Bolesławiec municipality, near a sports field, where the owner was present. The perpetrator was brought to the crime scene. He got out of the car directly next to the bicycle, got on it and rode away.
Based, among other things, on surveillance footage, police identified a suspect in the case. The 27-year-old Bolesławiec resident was arrested. (The bicycle, which had already been dismantled into parts, was found by officers while searching the garage used by the perpetrator. The value of the recovered property is more than PLN 2,500).
The 27-year-old was arrested and confessed to the crime. He now faces a sentence of between three months and as many as five years in prison.
