Officers from the Police Station in Kowary detained a 43-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County suspected of driving while intoxicated, violating a court-imposed driving ban and driving despite a decision revoking his driving licence.
“On 11 October this year, at approximately 4:40 p.m., officers stopped the driver of a Fiat for a road check on Pocztowa Street in Kowary. The driver turned out to be a 43-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County. The spokesperson:
During the officers’ intervention, they detected a strong smell of alcohol coming from him. A test showed more than 3 per mille. It also emerged that the man had been driving in violation of a five-year court-imposed driving ban, in force until 2024, and despite a decision revoking his driving licence.
The detainee now faces a possible sentence of between three months and as much as five years in prison.
