The incident took place on Saturday, October 10, at around 8:00 p.m., at the roundabout on Zgorzelecka Street in Bolesławiec. A 29-year-old woman driving a BMW crashed into the back of a Mercedes driven by a 27-year-old man. The latter vehicle then hit a Fiat driven by a 60-year-old man. (All three are residents of Bolesławiec.)
Fortunately, no one suffered more serious injuries. Nevertheless, it emerged that the injured Mercedes driver was completely drunk; he had nearly 2.5‰ of alcohol in his system.
The Bolesławiec resident was detained. He now faces up to two years in prison.
