The incident occurred on October 6, in the early evening, near the Bolesławiec City Center shopping mall. KPP:
After receiving a report of a woman’s handbag theft, Bolesławiec police officers immediately undertook intensive efforts to establish the details of the incident.
The perpetrator’s description was established. Officers: “A patrol from Legnica, which on October 7 was serving as additional police support in our county, having information about the handbag incident, recognized and arrested a 25-year-old resident of Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality.”
Bolesławiec police officers recovered the handbag, phone, documents and house keys.
The suspect confessed. The man will be charged with brazen theft, for which he faces between six months and as much as eight years in prison.
