Traffic is moving in both directions on only one lane. The traffic jam on the A4 toward Wrocław is several kilometres long. It starts near Kraśnik and ends near Szczytnica.
KPP Bolesławiec:
This morning, after 5:00 a.m., a road incident involving a truck carrying 24 tonnes of fertilizer occurred on the A4 motorway. The driver damaged road signs warning of roadworks and broke through the crash barriers separating the motorway lanes. He then stopped in the left lane of the motorway in the opposite direction. In addition, part of the transported load spilled.
Traffic in both directions is moving on one lane.
And adds:
Detour when travelling toward Zgorzelec: take the exit by the rooster (Krzywa exit).
The incident occurred on 2 October. Volunteer firefighters from Różyniec (Gromadka municipality):
At 5:23 a.m., a dispatch was received for a local hazard (accident) on the A4, at kilometre 55 in the direction of Wrocław. Upon arriving at the scene, it turned out that a truck had hit a road-assistance arrow sign that was standing on the roadway. It then entered the opposite carriageway, tearing out the crash barriers.
The firefighters add:
Our actions consisted of securing the scene and providing first aid.[kwalifikowanej pierwszej pomocy – przyp. istotne.pl].
Fortunately, no one was injured. In addition to the uniformed officers from Różyniec, firefighters from JRG Bolesławiec (two units) and the police also took part in the operation.
