Police officers from Bolesławiec County recovered a missing vehicle worth PLN 35,000 and arrested a 28-year-old man suspected of appropriating it. KPP Bolesławiec:
The man was well known to the officers because in recent months he had repeatedly fallen into the hands of law enforcement in connection with property crimes.
From May to early September this year, the 28-year-old repeatedly broke into various premises and rooms in the city and municipality of Bolesławiec, as well as in the municipality of Nowogrodziec. The man stole vehicles, power tools and fuel from car tanks. Police officers said: “He then sold the stolen property at reduced prices.”
Police recovered some of the missing items; among them, two vehicles and a bicycle were returned to their owners. Investigative activities are ongoing, and police are determining who received the goods originating from the crimes and where they are currently located.
The 28-year-old resident of Bolesławiec was charged with a total of 15 offenses: theft, burglary, appropriation and possession of narcotic substances. At the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, the court remanded the Bolesławiec resident in temporary custody for three months. The suspect, who is a repeat offender, could now face between one and as many as fifteen years in prison.
