The Healthcare Centre has a new ambulance. The handover ceremony for the Mercedes vehicle took place on Monday, September 7. The ceremony was attended by the authorities of Bolesławiec County, headed by County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak, as well as the Director of the County Hospital in Bolesławiec, Kamil Barczyk, together with paramedics. The ambulance is equipped with the latest life-saving equipment.
The Bolesławiec hospital currently has four ambulances. In the first half of 2020 alone, the Emergency Medical Services team responded to patients 3,896 times, and the ambulances travelled more than 120,000 km.
The hospital director, Kamil Barczyk, and one of the paramedics talk about the new ambulance:
– The health of patients and rapid intervention are our top priorities. The new ambulance will provide comfort for both patients and EMS personnel – said Tomasz Gabrysiak, County Governor of Bolesławiec. The 2020 Mercedes Sprinter is equipped with the best equipment, meeting all technical requirements. – The most important elements are the stretcher and transporter, which are essential for saving human lives – said Kamil Barczyk, Director of the ZOZ in Bolesławiec.
The Bolesławiec County provided the hospital with PLN 386,000.00 toward the purchase of the ambulance; the remaining amount was the ZOZ's own contribution. The vehicle's total cost was PLN 389,895.00.
