As reported by rmf24.pl:

The Sejm Presidium overturned the reprimand imposed in August on Joanna Lichocka (PiS) by the parliamentary ethics committee. It concerned her conduct during a Sejm session in February. At the time, social media were flooded with a photograph showing the MP holding up her middle finger.

Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Małgorzata Gosiewska of Law and Justice:

As a result of the vote in the Presidium, we decided that the punishment was far too severe and disproportionate to what happened.

I was in the chamber at the time and remember perfectly that when MP Lichocka took the floor, very offensive remarks were shouted from the chamber at the MP. It was very unpleasant, and those MPs who behaved this way—not for the first time, incidentally—received no punishment.

According to RMF FM, those who voted to overturn the reprimand were: Elżbieta Witek, M. Gosiewska and Ryszard Terlecki. Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska of the Civic Coalition voted against. (Representatives of the Left and PSL did not attend this meeting of the Sejm Presidium).

Let us recall. The middle-finger gesture, which some now call the “Lichocka gesture”, occurred during a February debate on transferring nearly PLN 2 billion to the public media: TVP and Polskie Radio. The MP explained at the time that she had merely been moving her finger under her eye.
