The incident took place on Thursday, April 27, after 5:00 p.m. Volunteer firefighters from Nowogrodziec:
A truck trailer caught fire on the A4 motorway near Wykroty. The vehicle parts being transported as cargo caught fire. The driver reacted quickly and detached the trailer.
The firefighters add:
The first units to arrive at the scene—OSP KSRG Czerna and OSP Wykroty—quickly brought the fire under control by directing streams of water at it. The entire cargo still had to be unloaded to reach all the sources of the fire.
Fortunately, no one was injured. Firefighters from Nowogrodziec, Czerna, Wykroty, Gierałtów and Bolesławiec, as well as the police and the road operator, took part in the operation, which lasted nearly two hours.
