The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 26. A man reported to the police station in Gryfów Śląski and said that an unknown driver of a Ford Mondeo had caused a road incident, damaging his vehicle, and had driven away from the scene.
In footage from a dashboard camera, the officers recognized Tomasz J. and his partner, Magdalena S. (According to the Lwówek na sygnale service, the former is a criminal from Gryfów Śląski who recently left prison).
After receiving information from the commander of the Municipal Police in Lubomierz, the officers located the vehicle in which S. and J. were traveling.
Using their lights and siren, the officers signaled the Ford to stop. District Police Headquarters:
Despite this, the vehicle continued fleeing. During the chase, a man jumped out of the vehicle, and the officers continued pursuing him on foot. To prevent a direct and unlawful attack on their lives and health, a warning shot was fired in a safe direction. Tomasz J. was subdued and detained by the officers.

At the same time, the pursuit of the woman continued, as she kept fleeing in the Ford Mondeo. The driver was driving very aggressively, using the full width of the road and posing a real threat to other road users.
The officers stopped S.'s car using a service vehicle.
The fugitives were detained. It turned out that both were under the influence of drugs. What is more, a number of dangerous tools were found in the couple's car, including an axe, as well as power tools that may have come from a crime.
The Lwówek police are handling the case.
