The incident took place on Wednesday, August 26, after 11:00 a.m., in Żeliszów (Bolesławiec commune). The driver of a Renault van, a 43-year-old Ukrainian citizen, failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions, crossed into the opposite lane and collided with an Iveco car transporter driven by a 29-year-old resident of Bolesławiec commune.
Both drivers were travelling alone, and both were sober. The Iveco driver was injured and taken to hospital.
