The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 25, before 1:00 p.m., on the road between Chościszowice and Kraśnik (Bolesławiec commune). A tire on the trailer of a Volkswagen driven by a 31-year-old man burst. The car spun and crossed into the opposite lane, where it collided head-on with a Renault driven by a 22-year-old man.
Both drivers were injured in the collision, as were an 8-year-old VW passenger and a 64-year-old woman traveling in the Renault.
All four were taken to hospital. It is not yet known how serious the injured parties’ injuries are.
All emergency services were present at the scene, including three medical rescue teams.
