At the turn of June and July, the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters received reports of catalytic converter thefts. “The reports indicated that an unknown perpetrator targeted vehicles parked in unattended car parks and cut this part out of them,” reports Staff Sergeant Marta Kubiak of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters. “All the incidents occurred within the city.
Criminal investigators took up the case and, as a result of operational work, established that a 30-year-old man was connected to these crimes. He was arrested on 18 August. Charges were brought against the 30-year-old.
The suspect had repeatedly been in conflict with the law. He could now face a sentence of between three months and as much as five years in prison.
