An unusual and entirely accidental intervention by the fire service took place on Tuesday in Nowogrodziec. The firefighters, who were involved in operations at the accident in Nowogrodziec, noticed a tow truck passing by and transporting a passenger car from which smoke was emerging. Units from OSP Nowogrodziec and PSP Bolesławiec set off after the tow truck and the smoking car. The tow truck was stopped after 500 metres. The fire in the engine compartment was extinguished.
Emergency call! While concluding operations at today's accident in Nowogrodziec, it was noticed that smoke was emerging from the passenger car being transported by the tow truck. After quickly packing up the equipment, together with a unit from JRG Bolesławiec, we followed the tow truck to inform the driver and take firefighting action. After travelling 500 m, we managed to stop the tow truck. The units directed one jet of water at the engine compartment, extinguishing the fire. The operations lasted 15 minutes.
