On Wednesday, October 14, police officers from Bolesławiec and Wrocław carried out the “Safe County” operation. They inspected 147 vehicles. They seized 16 registration certificates (due to the poor technical condition of the cars) and issued 90 penalty fines (including 30 for speeding).
What is more, officers caught 2 drunk drivers (including one who was subject to a court-imposed driving ban).
The operation aims to improve the safety of road users. The police remind drivers that driving under the influence of alcohol is a crime punishable by up to 2 years in prison.
